EDUCATION
Cantonment Board Shillong runs one Upper Primary School located in the Civil Area of the Cantonment to cater the education requirement of the Cantonment residents especially Civil population. The Board sincerely strived to provide quality education and good academic environment to these relatively deprived children. Apart from the teaching and studies students are also engaged to various extra curricular activities like painting, music and games.
The school is affiliated to the basic education department Govt. of Meghalaya. The medium of education is Nepali due to which the no. of students is decreasing year to year.
Board is actively considering the change of medium from Nepali to English.

Summer: 9.30 A.M to 3 P.M
Winter: 9.30 A.M to 3 P.M
Weekly holidays : Observed as per the list approved by the Govt. of Meghalaya.

The raw material for midday meal is being supplied by the District Rural Development Agency Department, Govt. of Meghalaya. Food is cooked in the school under the supervision of Headmaster and served to the children as per scale.
