In exercise of powers conferred under section 5(1) of Right to Information Act 2005 (Central Act 22 of 2005), the Office Superintendent, Cantonment Board Shillong has been designated as Central Public Information Officer.

Under subsection 19(1) of the Right to Information Act 2005, the Chief Executive Officer, Cantonment Board, Shillong is designated as Appellate Authority, to exercise the powers as provided under the Act

It is here by intimated to the General Public the Information as required under Section 4-1(b) of Right to Information Act 2005 in respect of Cantonment Board Shillong has been compiled and published.
The information consists of details of Organization of Cantonment Board Shillong its functions and duties, procedures followed in diction making and all other relevant information as required to be published under Section 4-1(b) of Right to Information Act 2005.
The said information will be available in the office of the Cantonment Board Shillong for public seeing during working hours on all working days. Copies of the said information can be obtained from the office of the Cantonment Board free of cost or otherwise as the case may be.
